I’m into all kinds of stuff, but I listen mostly to 20th century and contemporary music: Berio, Donatoni, Ligeti, Kurtag, Boulez, Murail, Grisey (and of course the now classics Schoenberg, Webern, Berg, Bartok, Stravinsky), etc.

Lately I’ve been listening to early music as well, and I enjoy romantic composers too. A little bit of everything I guess. :)

Yeah. That’s true. It’s all about networking these days (which is good).

How’s the piece going? Did you start already?

What kind of classical music are you into?

Well, I actually run the forum. I’ll see what I can do. I need to upgrade the forum software soon and after I do that I’ll look for an audio plugin. Maybe that will attract more people! What do you think?

Well, I have to say I don’t know a lot of newer bands. I’m pretty much into stuff like Zappa, Radiohead, Bjork. I do like heavier music as well, I used to be a big Mr. Bungle fan, but I’ve been listening mainly to jazz and contemporary classical music for the past years.

But I come back to my rock roots every now and then. :)

We should probably have a section here to upload mp3s and share music!

Great, I’ll check them out. Thanks!

How did you hear about these bands from Norway? Myspace, a friend or just browsing around?

I’m really not up to date with what’s going on with rock music today.

It’s good to know there are good things going on.

Very interesting band. Dark and Happy at the same time.

I started listening to "Every One Live Their Life", and my first impression was that they sounded a little like Radiohead, but then the music went somewhere else. It has some jazz influence as well (for a moment I thought about a Bill Frisell record I have).

Very cool. European bands definitely have a different concept.

    Any other recommendations from Norway?

Yeah he was a great player!

I like Chris Potter and Kenny Garrett as well. I saw Chris Potter a while ago in Boston, it was a great gig.

Welcome Casey. Good to have you here!

Which poems of Neruda are you setting? Sounds like an interesting project!

I have written mostly instrumental music, with the exception of a couple of short songs for voice and piano, but I’ve always wanted to write more for voice.

    Wow.

I just realized I have not been in here for a while.

I wonder what we can do to get more people in here.

    Any suggestions?

That sounds great Alex. That’s definitely a good place to be.

Let me know how the project goes, and let me know if you upload it to your website. I will like to see it.

I’ll let you know if I find out about any film scoring gigs.

Hey Alex. Are you still around?

    What are you working on?
