Kind of an odd competition, but it actually could be fun to do this…MW

    Call for Submissions:

Ice Cream Headache is an audio tour consisting of reinterpreted variations of our favorite–or most hated–ice cream truck jingles.

The audio will be broadcast via a Mr. Softee truck during a day long, five-borough tour. There will be at least one pit stop in each borough during which the unsuspecting public can treat themselves to Cd’s of the featured audio and ice cream. The tour will conclude in Williamsburg with live performances at a venue that has yet to be determined.

The deadline for submission is April 15th.

To inquire, please send an email to info@suite405.com with "ICE" in the subject line. You will be sent an audio file with the original jingle in addition to submission guidelines. There are no minimum length requirements. However, the final piece may not exceed five minutes. And remember, the noisier and muddier the better–this is a brain freeze after all.

    Welcome MW.

I wonder if they offer free ice cream for the selected composers. X-D

When I lived in Brooklyn, those ice cream trucks used to drive me crazy. Their jingles would be almost constantly in the background. It would be poetic justice to be able to blast some crazy version of the tunes back into the streets.
