This composition is for composers who write works for flute choir/flute orchestra. The piece must be an original piece that has not yet been premiered at a National Flute Association convention. There is no entry fee. Applications are due February 18, 2020. The winning composition will be premiered by the NFA High School Flute Choir during the 2020 NFA Convention in Dallas, TX. The winning publication will also be displayed in the exhibit hall during the convention and deposited in the NFA Music Library at the University of Arizona.
Compositions may be a maximum of twelve minutes and must include a minimum of six parts, including any combination of instrumentation of piccolo, C flute, alto flute, bass flute, and optional contrabass flute.
