Best string library?

Which string library are people using? I've just been checking out the LASS (L.A. Scoring Strings) demos, but I'm not persuaded...Posted 11 months ago #

I'm not sure. I have to say I keep it simple and use the sounds the come with Apple Logic.
What do you use?Posted 11 months ago # -
I have to agree with you fontadoni, the Apple ones are really good, especially if you keep swapping between different articulations e.g. legato and staccato.
If you write lots of sustained notes/ chords, you can get away with JUST sampled strings. It's where the melody notes move quickly that samples fall down. I'm lucky here because I play violin and viola so I overdub some real strings and mix them in with the samples - just enough to confuse the listener ;-)Posted 11 months ago # -
I'm pretty much learning how to use Logic now, but I've found that the brass sounds are the worse. Do you have any tips for working with sampled brass sounds?
